- Research Analysis I ($26.50 hour) – is responsible for conducting foundational investigative analysis by reviewing, organizing, and interpreting evidentiary materials provided by state prosecutors, defense counsel, and other legal entities. This role involves systematically examining grand jury transcripts, coroner’s reports, police reports, witness statements, digital records, and supplemental case documentation to identify inconsistencies, corroborating details, investigative leads, and potential evidentiary gaps. The analyst prepares clear, concise, and objective summaries, timelines, and comparative assessments to support senior investigators, attorneys, and case strategists. All work is performed in accordance with Nevada statutes, evidentiary standards, and agency protocols, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity throughout the investigative process.
- Research Investigator Trainee ($20.00 hour) – supports case development by gathering, verifying, and analyzing information under the direction of senior investigators. Responsibilities include reviewing foundational case materials, conducting targeted social media and deep‑OSINT research, and developing background intelligence relevant to active investigations. Depending on case requirements, the trainee may also contact first responders, including fire departments, medical personnel, and the Coroner’s Office, to obtain records or clarify incident details. Additional duties include researching case law, reviewing prior expert‑witness testimony, and identifying preliminary leads or inconsistencies. All work is performed in compliance with Nevada investigative standards, evidentiary rules, and agency protocols, with strict attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity.

State of Nevada Requirement
Under NRS 648, all individuals must obtain or possess a PILB-issued Registrant Work Card from the Nevada Private Investigators Licensing Board prior to engaging in any investigative, research, or evidence‑handling duties for a licensed private investigation agency.
